Ho già avuto modo di parlare dei gioielli di Alexander Calder e di come mi avessero ispirato; ecco alcune foto con i pezzi più belli e un collegamento a flikr, dove un bravo fotografo ha postato le foto della mostra dell'anno scorso al GRAM di san Diego... Guardatele!!!
Calder iniziò da bambino a creare gioielli per le bambole della sorella, e durante tutta la sua vita disegnò più di 1800 gioielli, la gran parte in ottone

Beginning as a child with embellishments to the costumes of his sister’s dolls, Calder created more than 1800 pieces of jewelry, many using brass wire.

Marion Willard sold Calder’s jewelry in her midtown Manhattan gallery for $5 to $25 a piece. Similar pieces now sell for $150,000 to $500,000.
