Alcuni dei gioielli della regina Ahhotep, vissuta nel 1500 a.C. circa... Se vi ricordano qualcosa è ok; è capitato lo stesso a me!

Georg Arthur Jensen, argentiere danese, iniziò la sua carriera come scultore, ma dimostrò ben presto un notevole ecletismo, applicandosi in tutte le arti; fu anche un valente ceramista, ma sotto il maestro Mogen Ballin focalizzò il suo interesse nel design di elementi e gioielli in argento e oro. La bellezza e la linearità dei suoi manufatti art noveau catturarono l'attenzione del pubblico e lo resero subito famoso, tanto che nel 1920 aveva già aperto negozi a Londra, Parigi, Berlino e New York.

Morì nel 1935 ma la produzione continua seguendo le sue linee guida...

Georg Arthur Jensen, danish silversmith, started his career as a sculptor, then he applied himself as a pottery and ceramic modeler, then began again as a silversmith and designer with the master Mogens Ballin.   

Soon, the beauty and fine quality of his art nouveau creations caught the eye of the public, and  in 1920 he had opened retails outlet in London, Paris, Berlin and New York.

He died in 1935 but his production still goes on under his ideas...
